A much needed roflcopter

This past Saturday night after we had some friends over we didn't feel like going to bed...well I didn't feel like going to bed which is rare because typically after 10 or 11 pm I turn into a grumpy tired sleepy baby. 

Myles was playing his video game, and I let him know in the nicest way possible that I was not interested in the game nor did I want to know the story haha. Sad!! It must have been my past 10 grumpies kicking in.

I was just surfing the web, does anyone actually say that anymore? And it was so late like 2 am and the surfing got to the point that I was googling my own name hahaha, we've all been there. I googled Myles name just to find out that he is seriously the only Myles Turk. Yu would think that Kat Turk would be more rare?? anyway I found this website....

Lol because it was from 1999/2000 and lol was the new thing to say. I was laughing so hard. 

Myles was in a few bands growing up and is actually quite the bass player but finding this was like finding a gold mine. Also his picture on here makes him look like he has a 9th grade goatee but he quickly shot that down by saying that he didn't have facial hair when he was 14. At least it doesn't look like he has a soul patch. 

Major Congrats!!!!

Major congrats to my main man, Myles. 

We found out late Friday night at Bret and Bree's house that....

Myles passed number 3 of 4 of the CPA exams!!!

Only one more to go and you will be staring at Arizona's newest CPA.

Hoooooray! 

So proud of this guy, you couldn't imagine the hours of studying that he puts in for these exams. 

Poor Myles was so nervous about his results and waited aaaaaallllll Friday for his results to come up on the page. Clicking refresh every 2 minutes. We finally heard that they were up thanks to Myles' buddy, Acc Tay Jae(account Taylor Jaegar. We were at our favorite friends, Los Larsen's and we all sat there on pins and needles as Myles scrambled to get a computer out. We can always count on Bret to break the silence with comic relief, and Bree's comforting ambience to get through any situation. That's why we're such great friends! Truly, we love them. &&& baby Kash too :).

Oh yeah and I am doing splendid, just working my buns off at Grimaldi's Corporate Office. I am having a wonderful experience working with wonderful people. It's very refreshing! 

I balance entering invoices, greeting guests and manning the phone. 

This is how I answer the phone....

"It's a great day at Grimaldi's corporate office, this is Kat, how may I help you??"

So you can maybe see how sometimes I get tongue tied whilst multitasking? 

The other day I go to answer the phone and said,"it's a great day at Grrrrrrrr....." And the guy was like um.. grimaldi's?? I guess I had a mini stroke?? I couldn't salvage it either so I just put my other hand over my mouth and tried so hard not to laugh hahaha and the person on the phone was like... Hello? And I waiting for him to hang up! Such bad customer service!!! I panicked! 

So he called back two seconds later and I nailed my lil' intro and the guy was like I think we got disconnected and I was like I know!! That was sooo weird!! So after I transferred him, I died laughing. At least I can laugh at myself, right?

5 months later!

• It's been 5 months since I posted. I promise we're still alive!!!! We've been super busy since January. I now work for Grimaldis Corporate Office as the receptionist/right hand (wo)man to accounts payable. I love the people I work with and they keep me so busy that the days just fly by in a jiff. Yes, I get a discount on all their delicious pizza. That's everyone's first question haha. Enough about me though let's talk about the real star of the show!!! I tell you, that Myles Dean Turk never ceases to amaze me. He is the most hard working and driven person I've ever known. When he does something, he will only finish it with 150% effort and he won't quit until it's absolutely perfect. Last Friday the 10th of May he graduated with his Master's in Accountancy!!! This means we're done with school forever and that he is just one step closer to being a CPA for Ernst and Young starting September 11th. Yes, the only reason I remember the  &date is because it's on 9/11 haha. Since graduation, Myles has not taken a breath (doesn't surprise me one bit) and has started studying for test 3 of 4 of the CPA exams. He passed the first two with no sweat. Myles isn't just an academic robot(wink), he the most sweet and loving person I know. A true Christian  if you will. He gets it from his mom who really envelopes the word Christan. Any way, back to my man, he has taught me so much during these past two.5 years of marriage. Oh yeah ps, our 2.5 year anniversary just happened to be yesterday. That's why all of this is fresh on my mind. 
•  We are too blessed as always. These past 5 months have brought us nothing but joy; bike rides to In-n-out... By the way, we found out that Miller road is the Golden ticket to the in-n-out off Rural and da 202(thanksforthetip,Paul). I've been called as the first counselor in the Young Womans and i am so excited and happy to serve there. it beats me struggling to play the piano for Relief Society.... Myles teaches a financial prep class, haha we think it's funny that they asked the soon to be auditor to teach it but we are as always, happy to serve. We went to a few concerts to see some of our favorite bands, like we were sophomores in high school haha but we had a bllllast. Most of all we've been spending time with our little Trudy who is such a funny wiener dog. We love her like a real human and we've come to realize that when we do have a real human child someday we will be the biggest worry warts. As ridiculous as it sounds, it's true haha.

Lauren C Coplan served in Independence, Missouri.

Words cannot express how proud I am of these girls.

They've touched my life in so many ways, I can only imagine what it would be like to learn about the gospel from them. 

I am honored to be friends with strong and willing daughters of our Heavenly Father!!

I have no doubt in my mind that I met these girls for a reason. They are the best. It just one of the many many indicators that our Heavenly Father knows and loves us!

I was so happy to reunite with my Gal Pals!

Birthday Celebration

We were all so happy to see my seester and her family on Christmas. It was so nice to feel whole with ALL of the family together.

Wyatt turned 5 so that meant that I got to bake with Caroline :)

Wyatt wanted a Mario themed party. Of course Caroline, the super mom that she is, came up with the idea to make Mario and Luigi out of fondant. How cute right?

Cheers to 23! I had a great birthday, we just hung out and ran errands. Then ordered pizza. Simple and exactly what I wanted. I was still on the mend from that yucky flu everyone had, so I didn't feel like getting ready and going out quite yet. It's fine.

Anniversary and Christmas!

I can't believe that 2012 is over! It went by way too fast but I look forward to what 2013 brings! Reflecting on the year, all i can say is that we are SO blessed. 

We love December because we get to celebrate our anniversary and Christmas!

We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary on the 17th

 Myles surprised me, and took me to the most romantic dinner at Elements at Sanctuary Camelback Resort! It was so beautiful. We sat at a booth that overlooked Paradise Valley.

As for the food.... 

you can probably tell from the pictures that it was YUMMOLA.

Possibly THE best food we've had. More importantly, it's been the best 2 years of my life and I am so lucky the spend the rest of eternity with this fine young man.
